Our Approach

At Shoreline Pastoral Counseling, Ed Cornell and team provide counseling and therapy for individuals, couples and families. Ed is a licensed professional counselor and ordained minister in the United Church of Christ with 35 years of experience assisting with life transitions. A blend of Rogerian and Jungian therapy he spends time listening and reflecting back to clients to help them more forward in life choices. He can offer help with loss and grief, marriage and divorce, family changes, adoption, career issues and retirement. Rev. Cornell maintains a safe atmosphere that allows for exploration of emotional and spiritual aspects as well as development of practical goals and solutions. He is a member of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors.

Margaret (Peg) Cornell, APRN

Peg Cornell (she, her) is an experienced psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner offering psychotherapy and support to help adults with life's challenges, difficulties and transitions.

She works with people to explore the connection between body, mind and spirit in a setting that is safe, caring and nonjudgmental. Working in partnership, she helps her patients find their way on a path of understanding and growth.

Peg will help to address concerns including:

Dealing with chronic illness
Challenges of care-giving
Loss and grief
Loss of a loved one to suicide or substance use
Gender identity and sexuality
Relationship issues
Parenting concerns
Life transitions
Aging and retirement

Insurance

We work with adults (sorry, no children at this time) individually and in groups and accept many commercial insurances. For out-of-network or those who are uninsured, we offer a sliding fee scale. In person and tele-health sessions are available, please contact us for more information.
